Your lips are sweeter than honey,
each lie flows so smooth.
Serenading the unfortunate souls,
speaking cures to their blues.

One word could melt butter,
creating a puddle at your feet.
Groveling for your attention,
so desperate it is, they seek.

A snake-charming devil,
so slick, and bemused.
Arrogance on legs,
see the truth? They refuse.

Home bound
on beautiful days
Nowhere to go
to release energy, and play
I found an old sprinkler
yellow in color
Uncoiling my hose
a daughter, and mother
Preparing for fun
as the heat rolls in
Sunshine, and laughter
let the games begin
Don’t forget sunscreen
you don’t want to burn
Blisters of red
that ooze, and hurt
Be cautious, yet free
squeals bring smiles
Dance in the water
no worries for awhile

Drift away
into my emotions
a world of chaos
set adrift in waves –

The ups and downs
ebbing, and flowing
between dark and light
lulled into complacency –

My boat of many thoughts
swaying to the rhythm
of my anxiety
bleak, black surroundings –

Teasing me with light
as the mouth of my tunnel
grows microscopically small
yet, here I float –

embraced by my demons

Sorrow, and sadness
peace, and unity

Does the sun bring happiness

Where is your being
when blue skies prevail
Where is your heart

Encompassed by nature
whether in dark, or light

in both day, and night

A damaged shelter
But not broken

Adorning my neck
Imperfection is my strength

Not quite full
Yet filled with light,
Bright like the sun
In the middle of the night.
Stars galore
Surround this moon,
As your silhouette stands
Blocking my view.
Curves revealed
Eyes traverse dips
Lunar beams teasing
I bite my lip.
My eyes take you in
from bottom to top,
Surging with desire
and unable to stop.
Eyes wide with lust
Passion unveiled
Breathless on a sigh
Control has failed
Let us collapse
Into each other as one
With no hesitations
We come undone
