Once, I dreamt of happiness
The kind with rainbows, and butterflies,
A white picket fence, entrapped my home,
A farmhouse of antique design.
Dogs did bark
Kids ran free,
Laughter created music
Smiles were on scene.
But, across the way
A storm was brewing,
Grey, and dark
All too consuming.
My hopes were dashed, in the blink of an eye,
Mere seconds it took to destroy.
Leaving me alone, to bear the pain,
My happy dreams were no more.

Masked by gradient angles
My downward spiral has begun
My brakes have failed to work
I start to come undone
Panic seizes my senses
My mind begins to flail
Chaotic thoughts start flying
I live amongst my Hell
Maniacal laughter follows
Like nails upon a board
Deafening is the screech
Pulverizing my vocal chords
My screams meet their demise
In a puddle at my feet
Crimson liquid, thick, and dark
Flows freely from my teat

Bright, magnetic
Back, and forth

Jerky movements

Shall I live amongst solitude?
Ah, but ye’d like that, eh?
Leave me be, dear rogue.
I’ll pat yer scruffy cheek.
But, away, ye must go.
Thou shall not control me.
Scurry along, wee urchin.
Scram! Back into your ego.
Enough of yer shenanigans.
Tiring, thou hast become.
Exasperate me, not.
No longer will I plead.
Keep your wiles away from me.
Lest ye want to bleed.

Summoning my demons//Dancing beneath its red glow//Bringing forth a simmering fire//An inferno, about to explode
As flames lick my skin//Like talons that rip into flesh//A whimper leaves my parted lips//As I shiver beneath its caress
A blinding flash of light//My ears begin to ring//Crying out against its rage//Unraveling at the seams
Agonizing torture//As I crumple to the ground//Reliving such exhausting pain//Leaves me lost, instead of found

Why do you write such pain? You should write about positive things.
But, who I am, is what I write. The good, the bad, the ugly; It’s what I write.
Authenticity is what builds an artist. Personal experience solidifies foundation.
