Have you ever had a dream
so vivid, and clear,
No detail went unnoticed
all faces appeared.
You saw everything that happened
felt every single touch,
Whispered words were amplified
it all became too much.
When you tried to awaken
your being wouldn’t budge,
Trapped, you were, within your dream
trudging through thickened sludge.
That’s when panic consumes
screaming in your dream,
Claustrophobic asphyxiation
clawing at threaded seams.
Successfully, you escape
eyes opening with a start,
Barely breathing, you look around
clutching at your heart.
