You start to relate
You start to reminisce
Tears start to fall
Sobs rip through you
A throat burns with trepidation
A chest tightens with anguish
Pain bursts through your inner peace
An explosion of raw vulnerability
Ripping the stitches from your scars
A fresh wave of blood, and fire
It burns within your veins
Setting your soul ablaze
Purging you of your imagined control
and, still, you listen
